Localization Program Manager

Job description

Localization Program Manager Job Description

About MoneyGram

We're rebuilding one of the most trusted names in fintech—and doing it like a startup.

MoneyGram has been a global leader in cross-border payments for decades, and now we're entering our most exciting chapter yet: a full-speed, full-scale re-founding led by Anthony Soohoo, with the backing of private equity firm Madison Dearborn Partners.

With a globally recognized brand, deep infrastructure across 200+ countries, and millions of loyal customers, the foundation is strong—and the scale is unreal.

We're now reimagining just how much further we can take it.

We're rebuilding our growth engine —faster, smarter, and more customer-obsessed than ever.

Fewer layers.

Sharper strategy.

Disciplined execution.

A bias for action.

We're looking for bold operators and builders ready to run at this opportunity, shape the future of a scaled business, and leave their mark.

About the role

We're hiring a Localization Program Manager to support the end-to-end localization efforts for MoneyGram's website pre-login experience and select marketing initiatives.

This role will focus on managing day-to-day localization projects, coordinating across teams, and ensuring timely, high-quality localized content for global markets.

You'll work closely with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and vendors to deliver culturally relevant, accurate experiences that connect with customers worldwide.

If you're organized, proactive, and passionate about global communication, this is a great role to grow your localization expertise in fintech.

What You'll Do

  • Manage localization projects for MoneyGram's website pre-login content and marketing campaigns—planning, vendor coordination, quality checks, and on-time delivery.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to prioritize localization tasks and maintain alignment.

  • Coordinate with translation vendors to ensure clear requirements and quality standards.

  • Implement a localization approach that uses AI-powered translations as the first pass, followed by professional human translators for review and refinement if needed.

  • Support and improve localization workflows and tools to boost efficiency.

  • Help ensure localized content complies with privacy and accessibility guidelines.

  • Track project progress and flag any risks or delays to stakeholders.

  • Facilitate communication between global teams across time zones.

  • Advocate for accurate, culturally appropriate localization to enhance the pre-login user experience.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–6 years in localization program or project management, preferably supporting website or marketing localization.

  • Experience working with translation vendors and managing localization workflows.

  • Familiarity with localization tools or platforms (TMS, CMS integrations) is a plus.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Basic understanding of data privacy and accessibility as it relates to web content.

  • Comfortable working with global, cross-functional teams and distributed stakeholders.

  • Based in the US with flexibility for remote work.

Bonus Points

  • Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.

  • Unique perspectives shaped by cross-cultural experiences are especially valuable in bringing an authentic perspective and enhancing our global customer experience.
