Key Responsibilities: - Manage the schedulingof appointments for new patients, follow-up visits, and in-officeprocedures, ensuring accurate planning and coordination,particularly regarding the need for sedation. - Utilize our EMRsystem (Modernizing Medicine) to accurately input patientinformation and maintain up-to-date electronic medical records. -Assess and prioritize patient needs, directing messages to theappropriate party through our EMR system for efficient follow-upand resolution. - Ensure timely follow-through on specific tasksand patient phone encounters, maintaining clear communication anddocumentation within the EMR system. - Engage in professional andempathetic communication with patients via phone, email, andmessaging platforms to address inquiries, schedule appointments,and provide information. - Assist physicians and medical staff withadministrative tasks, including calendar management, correspondencepreparation, and telemedicine coordination. - Collaborate with thebilling department to ensure accurate coding and submission ofinsurance claims, following up on billing inquiries anddiscrepancies as needed. Requirements - Bachelor's degree inhealthcare administration, business administration, or relatedfield preferred. - Strong communication skills, both verbal andwritten, with a focus on professionalism and customer service. -Experience working in a healthcare setting, with proficiency inusing electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus. - Knowledgeof medical terminology, billing codes, and insurance verificationprocesses is an advantage. - Excellent organizational skills,attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. -Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a virtualteam environment. - Commitment to maintaining confidentiality ofsensitive patient information and compliance with HIPAAregulations.
