Great opportunity for a Junior Data Governance consultant to support the delivery of Data Governance and Data Strategy projects on a fully remote contract working in the LATAM region.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary group who deliver key sustainable data solutions to multiple end clients. This role will start in March after a single stage MS Teams interview. English is the business language and you must be a fluent English speaker.
As the Data Governance Analyst you will:
Capture requirements, test their validity and relevance, resolve conflicts, and guide prioritisation. Ensure the coverage of all use cases. Capture the as-is and to-be perspective with attention to business processes. Evaluate existing information systems through gap analysis, working closely with the Project team to align designs. Coordinate and support the data governance & strategy team in testing and end user adoption on various customer projects. Support the roll-out of data management strategy and implementation projects. As an analyst will you work together with business departments (cross domains) to translate their data business needs towards a central Data Governance solution. Implement customised metamodels. Work closely with Data Stewards & Data Owners, facilitate meetings with stewards and owners. Prepare technical documentation, SOPs and other process documents.
You will have:
At least two years of experience working with Data Governance and Data Strategy frameworks and approaches (e.g., DMBOK, EDM DCAM, or EDM CDMC). DAMA Maturity Assessment Framework knowledge. Knowledge of data quality principles, IT risk controls, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise/digital information assets. Experience with data quality technologies. Basic knowledge of data transformation plans and roadmaps. Familiarity with Master Data Management approaches and tools. Exposure to data dictionaries, business glossaries, and data catalogues definition and documentation. Excellent English language skills. Ability to work as a freelancer in your LATAM location. Exposure to any of the following topics would be a bonus: Data Observability, Data Mesh, AI Data Governance.
