AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals.

Responsibilities

The role will involve :

• Underwriting new and renewal business: Underwrite within agreed decision making standards, limitations, and underwriting authority
• Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing brokers: Provide excellent service to brokers through consistent, timely, and proactive approach to underwriting
• Assisting management with reporting
• Working to carry out agreed EIL strategies
• Develop strategies to grow EIL business
• Meet individual underwriting expectations to help the team achieve budgeted financial objectives

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven underwriting experience in EIL (Environmental Impairment Liability) and a successful record of selling products to clients.
  
  
• Deep technical expertise.
  
  
• Degree or Master in Environmental Sciences preferred.
  
  Engineers will be considered as well.
  
  
• Fluent Spanish and English skills (written & spoken)
• Proven people management skills and a record of developing more junior colleagues.
  
  
• Negotiation skills
• The ability to analyze financial statements.
  
  
• Strong communication, networking and relationship building skills.
  
  
• Good organizational and time management skills.
  
  
• Customer and sales oriented behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable.
