Role Description
As a track and trace representative, you will be responsible for additional tracking in the absence of carrier sales representatives, as well as a supplemental resource to ensure tracking adherence per customer SOPs and customer service expectations.
Additionally, you will reach out to carriers to assist in restarting GPS tracking, requesting updates at the shipper/receiver, and additional requests for PODs/load paperwork.
Main Responsibilities
- Making outbound calls to update loads in Turvo
- Updating account managers on the progress of high-value/sensitive freight
- Updating carrier sales if there are any issues present on a load (tracking, evasive driver and dispatch, mechanical failures, accidents, and other incidents)
- Taking diligent notes and communicating with carrier sales and account managers
- Working with the Sun – tracking from East to West within appropriate timeframes (Don't call the West Coast drivers at 4 am unless they have an earlier appt, etc)
- Be the additional point of contact for carriers in case they need to update Core with any details
- Don't over-track loads but prioritize based on the number of load touches within 2-hour windows.
- Update customers with tracking links and their TMS, if applicable
- Continue following up for POD collection
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- C1 level English or above (mandatory)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels.
- Minimum of 2 years of logistics experience (track and trace) with a proven track record of success
- Entrepreneurial and proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and customer-oriented skills
