MSP Helpdesk Technician / Administrator

Position: MSP Helpdesk Technician / Administrator
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, plus every other Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Onsite

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote and onsite technical support to clients for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.

  • Administer and manage Office 365 / Microsoft 365 (users, groups, licensing, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams).

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows desktop and server issues.

  • Administer and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other Windows Server functions.

  • Perform patch and Windows Update management across client environments.

  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls and Unifi network equipment.

  • Manage and utilize RMM (Remote Monitoring & Management) tools to monitor system health, deploy updates, and automate tasks.

  • Maintain and support backup systems and disaster recovery procedures.

  • Ensure proper documentation of tickets, solutions, and client environments.

  • Monitor, identify, and respond to cybersecurity threats such as malware, phishing, and unauthorized access attempts.

  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including endpoint protection, MFA, email filtering, and network security policies.

  • Assist in incident response and remediation of security breaches or alerts.

  • Provide excellent communication with clients in advanced written and spoken English.

  • Stay up to date with new technologies, cybersecurity frameworks, compliance requirements, and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Office 365 administration.

  • Strong understanding of Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).

  • Experience with Fortinet firewalls and Unifi networking equipment.

  • Proficiency in RMM platforms (e.g., Atera, N-able, ConnectWise, Kaseya, etc.).

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL-based support processes.

  • Knowledge of backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Datto, Acronis).

  • Experience with cybersecurity tools (EDR, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, MFA, email security gateways).

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including patch management, access control, and compliance.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (C1 level or above).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • 3+ years of experience in an MSP, IT support, or cybersecurity-focused role preferred.

  • Industry certifications (Microsoft, Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Security, etc.) are a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Brindar soporte técnico remoto y presencial a clientes en computadores de escritorio, portátiles y dispositivos periféricos.

  • Administrar y gestionar Office 365 / Microsoft 365 (usuarios, grupos, licenciamiento, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams).

  • Diagnosticar y resolver problemas en equipos Windows y servidores.

  • Administrar y mantener Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy y otras funciones de Windows Server.

  • Gestionar parches y actualizaciones de Windows en ambientes de clientes.

  • Configurar, monitorear y solucionar problemas en firewalls Fortinet y equipos de red Unifi.

  • Utilizar y administrar herramientas de RMM (Remote Monitoring & Management) para monitoreo, actualizaciones y automatización de tareas.

  • Administrar y dar soporte a sistemas de respaldo (backups) y planes de recuperación ante desastres.

  • Documentar incidentes, soluciones y configuraciones de los clientes de manera adecuada.

  • Monitorear, identificar y responder a amenazas de ciberseguridad como malware, phishing e intentos de acceso no autorizado.

  • Implementar y aplicar mejores prácticas de seguridad, incluyendo protección de endpoints, MFA, filtrado de correo electrónico y políticas de seguridad de red.

  • Apoyar en la respuesta a incidentes y remediación de brechas o alertas de seguridad.

  • Mantener una comunicación clara y profesional con los clientes en inglés avanzado (oral y escrito).

  • Mantenerse actualizado con nuevas tecnologías, marcos de ciberseguridad, requisitos de cumplimiento y estándares de la industria.

Requisitos

  • Conocimiento avanzado en administración de Office 365.

  • Sólida experiencia en Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).

  • Experiencia en firewalls Fortinet y equipos de red Unifi.

  • Dominio de plataformas RMM (ej: Atera, N-able, ConnectWise, Kaseya, etc.).

  • Familiaridad con sistemas de tickets y procesos de soporte basados en ITIL.

  • Conocimiento en soluciones de respaldo (ej: Veeam, Datto, Acronis).

  • Experiencia en herramientas de ciberseguridad (EDR, SIEM, escaneo de vulnerabilidades, MFA, pasarelas de seguridad de correo).

  • Fuerte entendimiento de mejores prácticas de seguridad, incluyendo gestión de parches, control de acceso y cumplimiento normativo.

  • Excelentes habilidades de resolución de problemas.

  • Nivel de inglés avanzado C1 o superior, tanto oral como escrito.

  • Capacidad de trabajar de manera autónoma y en equipo.

  • Preferiblemente 3+ años de experiencia en un rol de MSP, soporte técnico o con enfoque en ciberseguridad.

  • Certificaciones (Microsoft, Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Security, etc.) son un plus.
