Job title: Technologist Application Beverages

Join the dsm‑firmenich Application Team to develop innovative beverage products from concept to commercialization.
A Food Technologist will collaborate with cross‑functional experts—including sales, consumer insights, and flavorists—to support customers in developing new food products while showcasing the dsm‑firmenich flavor and ingredient portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply deep knowledge of flavor, enzyme, protein, and other ingredient technologies, emphasizing their performance in the Beverage category.
- Under supervision, manage multiple projects and customer briefs, leading work stages and championing internal and external actions to meet project objectives.
- Prepare bench prototype formulations with strong proficiency in food processing, unit operations, and material characterization techniques.
- Lead technical sessions and customer interactions, facilitating technical‑to‑technical discussions and collaborative problem‑solving.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams (Technical, Sales, Marketing, Sensory) to leverage expertise and ensure successful project execution.
- Stay current on industry trends, new ingredient innovations, and customer product launches, utilizing nutritional labeling software and market insights.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Chemistry.
- Experience in an application laboratory in the flavor/ingredients industry.
- Strong project‑management and record‑keeping skills, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with proven customer‑facing presentation abilities.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Advanced English.
