Summary
The QA Tech Lead will play a vital role in ensuring the high quality and reliability of our software products.
Reporting to the Director of Software Quality, you will be an expert in specific areas of software quality, such as test case planning, QA Automation, or other specialized domains.
You will work closely with individual QA engineers and developers spread across various engineering teams, collaborating with them to define and improve QA‑redundant processes and tools, while they work directly for their respective product teams.
Your expertise and leadership will be critical in guiding and supporting the QA engineers to achieve quality objectives and deliver exceptional software products.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in software quality (e.g., test case planning, QA automation, performance, security).
- Partner with the Director of Software Quality to develop and implement quality strategies and best practices.
- Mentor and support QA engineers in a matrixed team environment.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of comprehensive test strategies and plans.
- Review and provide feedback on test cases, scripts, and automation code to ensure quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate quality considerations throughout the development lifecycle.
- Identify and implement improvements to testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Train QA engineers on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new tools.
- Stay current with software quality trends and share knowledge with the team.
- Act as a key resource for QA engineers, resolving issues and fostering a supportive team environment.
- Collaborate to define and monitor KPIs for software quality, driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience (minimum) in software quality assurance.
- Proven expertise in Playwright, Typescript & Github.
- Bonus points if you have experience with Jira and AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, etc).
- A successful track record as a Mentor, providing guidance and support to QA engineers.
- Solid grasp of SDLC, Agile, and QA processes.
- Excellent, detail‑oriented analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and passionate about staying current with QA advancements.
