What You Bring
- Experience working in a Tax department (big 4 environment valued for tax and reporting), including preparing and filing tax returns.
- SAP experience (not mandatory).
- Hold a bachelor’s or master degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Management or similar; chartered accountant qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CTA, CPA or similar) are highly valued.
- Team-player driven by excellence, good organization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Remote work experience is not required but considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit all reports connected with Remote VAT, Sales and Use Tax obligations (Sales and Use Tax Returns, Recapitulative Statements, Statistical Reports, National Bank Reports, etc.) in the US and Canada.
- Prepare and submit reports related to Remote Sales and Use Tax obligations.
- Ensure ERP data accuracy; perform controls, liaise with accounts payable/receivable to review transactions and make corrections.
- Analyze invoices for local tax law compliance and proper tax treatment; request corrections when necessary.
- Support the team before public entities (Tax and Statistical authorities).
- Maintain, review and reconcile tax accounts.
- Prepare and file VAT and Sales and Use Tax claims.
- Assist with tax registrations worldwide; support ad hoc research and projects (e.g., expansion into new countries, new Sales/Use Tax treatments).
- Monitor changes in tax law across jurisdictions.
- Support tax advisors to prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly US direct tax filings to ensure compliance with state, federal and international tax laws.
