Job Description

AECOM's Enterprise Capabilities is seeking a Structural Engineer IV to join our Structural Engineering team in Bogotá, D.C. This position is essential to support the development and delivery of structural design documentation from our enterprise design center in Colombia.

The successful candidate will contribute to a variety of transportation-related projects, including buildings, bridges, and civil works, preparing structural drawings and 3D models using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Microstation.

This position encompasses all stages of project development, from conceptual and preliminary design to detailed engineering and construction deliverables.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
  
  
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
  
  
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  
  
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  
  
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
  
  
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  
  
• Prepares technical specification sections.
  
  
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
  
  

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Technology in Architectural and Engineering Draftsmanship or similar + 6 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in structural projects

Preferred Requirements

• Preferably, more than 8 years of technical experience in structural engineering, specifically in the design of various types of concrete and steel structures, in accordance with international standards.
  
  
• Experience in infrastructure projects (railways, light rail, highways, airports, data centers, etc.).
  
  
• Experience in all phases of structural projects, from conception to completion.
  
  
• You are proficient in the use of structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, CSI Bridge, or similar tools.
  
  
• Communication skills.
  
  
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
