Job Description

AECOM's Enterprise Capabilities is seeking a highly qualified Structural Technician II to join our Structural Engineering Team in Bogotá, D.C. This position is essential to support the development and delivery of structural design documentation from our enterprise design center in Colombia.

The successful candidate will contribute to a variety of transportation-related projects, including buildings, bridges, and civil works, preparing structural drawings and 3D models using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Microstation.

This position encompasses all stages of project development, from conceptual and preliminary design to detailed engineering and construction deliverables.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  
  
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  
  
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  
  
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
  
  
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
  
  
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
  
  
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
  
  

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma + 2 years or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in structural projects

Preferred Requirements:

• Technology Degree in Architectural and Engineering Draftsmanship or similar
• More than 2 years of experience in experience in large-scale projects
• Experience in steel and concrete structures
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microstation.
