This opportunity is within the North American accounts receivable team, with interaction across sales and billing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage a portfolio of accounts on a month over month basis to minimize the overall delinquency rate and achieve targets set by Management.
- Contact customers via phone and e-mail regarding open invoices and billing disputes.
- Identify issues causing payment delays and document notes in Oracle about calls and collection efforts.
- Maintain working partnerships with District, Area, Division and Corporate teams; escalate issues to Supervisor or Director when necessary.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of various Collections systems and adhere to Iron Mountain policy and procedures.
- Perform Collections Department projects as directed by management and strive for excellence in customer service and collections.
Requirements
- Degree in Business or Finance.
- Willingness to learn and thrive as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented.
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and Internet browsers; strong typing skills.
- Problem-solving abilities requiring independent judgment.
- Clear criminal reference check; previous call center/collections experience required.
