The Analyst on the Strategic Analytics & Insights Pack & Design team will leverage a variety of methods to influence the packaging and product design for top global brands across a variety of categories.

As an Analyst on the Pack & Design team, you’ll use your analytical and consultative skills to help clients such as ABI, Walmart, and Procter & Gamble make better, faster, and smarter decisions.

When you join our Strategic Analytics & Insights Pack & Design business unit, you will consult with customers to improve their branding through packaging research.

With the end-goal of improving new-product outcomes and success of the overall brand, we provide consultation to help clients identify their best package option and ensure that they will stand out vs.

competitors at the shelf using world-class behavioral science and consulting, including the use of neuroscience research.

We bring the voice and mind of the consumer to life with creativity and to help build long-term brand success.

Responsibilities

  • Connect the dots for our clients using our world-class analytics, including survey research and neuroscience research
  • Provide insights on branding via packaging that clients can use to drive their business forward
  • See your recommendations in action as you see products on the shelves
  • Participate in exclusive professional development opportunities focused on gaining a business perspective, diversity, inclusive leadership, and continuous mentorship
  • Make a difference by becoming a problem solver, a consultant, and the voice of NielsenIQ’s inclusive culture for our clients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Psychology, Marketing/Market Research, or Neuroscience.

    Will also consider students in an analytically or human insights focused field including but not limited to Economics, Engineering, or Liberal Arts
  • 1-3 years of work experience, Market Research experience preferred
  • Fluent in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong critical thinking skills with an ability to translate large amounts of data into easy-to-understand and actionable presentations
  • Strong storytelling skills
  • Demonstrated an active role in seeking input from diverse thoughts, backgrounds, and outcomes
  • Passion for understanding consumers and market research
  • Passion for learning and applying new technologies to business solutions
  • Proven problem-solving skills using deductive reasoning, understanding hierarchical relationships, and identifying gaps in logic
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
