We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff UX Designer to join our Design Team at Caseware, a leading SaaS organization.
As a Staff UX Designer, you will play a critical role in designing exceptional user experiences for our cloud-based audit, financial reporting, and data analytics solutions that empower accounting professionals worldwide.
You will work closely with the Product, Engineering, and Design Teams to create intuitive, user-centered designs that help our customers work more intelligently, gain deeper insights, and deliver impactful results.
This is a full-time permanent position, fully remote, located in Colombia.
Responsibilities:
- Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, user needs, and technological capabilities/constraints
- Design wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and validate designs to ensure they meet user needs
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define and implement innovative solutions
- Maintain design systems and ensure consistent user experience across all Caseware products
- Stay current with UX design trends, tools, and emerging technologies in the accounting and audit software industry
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation including user flows, interaction models, and design specifications
- Help resolve customer-impacting design issues, ensuring the quickest and safest resolutions
- Contribute to the overall design strategy and vision for Caseware's products
- Assist in cross-department design initiatives that enhance the overall product ecosystem
- Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to fellow designers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- A hands-on approach—you thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, and work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to take ideas from sketches to shipped products.
- 8 or more years of experience in user experience or related fields.
- Strong interaction and visual design skills, with a portfolio that highlights your design thinking and your ability to create engaging user experiences, especially in AI.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to explain design decisions, collaborate across teams, and advocate for users.
- Proficiency with design, prototyping, and AI tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma Make, Loveable, Cursor, Replit, ChatGPT, or similar.
- Solid understanding of design systems and component-based design
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and designing for diverse user needs
- Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-platform user experiences
- Bonus points if you have experience designing for accounting, Auditing or financial services, understand AI ethics, bias reduction, and trust frameworks, or bring technical fluency to collaborate effectively with engineers on AI integration and feasibility.
