We are looking for an Accountant based in Colombia to join DOXA Talent’s Corporate Service team.
This role will be responsible for maintaining the accounting for our Colombian entity.
This role will provide output dependent on accounting to local authorities to maintain full regulatory compliance.
Location : Must be in Colombia - Remote.
Environment : Colombian and International Teams.
Language : Advanced English (B2/C1+).
Timezone : 8:00 am - 6:00 PM PST.
Non-fixed Term Contract.
Experience : 3 + years of experience.
Salary: $6.000.000 COP per month.
Requirements
- Fluent written and verbal English .
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting .
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting with a CPA.
- QuickBooks - SIIGO system experience preferred in the short term.
- Netsuite - Sage or similar system experience preferred in the medium term.
- Experience in system migrations .
- Experience in a multi-client environment.
- Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Aptitude in data management, analytics, report preparation.
- Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed.
Responsibilities
- Complete the monthly close process with excellent documentation, proper reconciliations and in a timely manner
- Prepare and present financial statements for review on a monthly basis consistent with company and consolidation formats
- Prepare general ledger entries with excellent documentation
- Prepare reconciliations to ensure accuracy of accounting content
- Develop, recommend, and implement accounting procedures and policies
- Answering accounting and financial questions from key internal and external stakeholders
- Review accounts payable and prepare payments for approval
- Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Perform other duties as assigned
