Purpose
In this role you will lead and oversee Adjudication Technology applications and team, in both Colombia and Canada,ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations,internal policies, and procedures.

We are seeking a talented and motivated leader to deliver value on the Adjudication Technology team, while workingclosely with the project and business teams to ensure partner and stakeholder alignment and deliver the solutions ontime.

Also responsible for maintenance and support of technology after the implementation date and peoplemanagement activities.

Accountabilities

  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leveragebroader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.

  • Provide overall leadership and technical guidance that enables creative delivery of Adjudication applications.

  • Responsible for the overall Adjudication solution end-to-end ensuring that designs are modern, resilient, and cost-effective.

  • Responsible for ensuring that software is delivered on time, resilient, on budget and in a way that meets the businessexpectations.

  • Owns manage and maintain thorough understanding of the Adjudication system capabilities, gaps, and opportunities.

  • Provide analytic support in the development and implementation of strategic plans.

  • Assist in the review and evaluation of business initiatives, product and projects and formulate insightful guidance andinput to business leaders.

  • Manage a global development team in delivery of your annual objectives and support your business partners in theirvarious timelines.

  • Own, maintain, support, and enhance existing applications, including regular code reviews for release activities,production issue analysis and root cause analysis for production outages and implementation issues.

  • Assist product owners and business analysts in discovering the current system behavior and providerecommendations on improving the current system.

  • Participate in Architecture Review and manage budget.

  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

  • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas inaccordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring theadequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect tooperational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

  • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops andmotivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors;communicating vison/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline.

  • You have 4-6 years of work-related experience within the Financial Services Industry.

  • You have experience in consumer banking products and Business process management products.

  • You have 2+ years' experience in delivery of large-scale programs and global products.

  • Strong and proven analytical skills.

  • Strong Java experience.

  • Strong working knowledge business solutioning, documentation and process mapping
  • Strong technical solution management experience and skills
  • Ability to work autonomously under tight timelines.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment where processes and procedures are consistently refined.

  • Strong capability to work with senior business leaders.

  • Strong verbal, written and communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong people management skills and experience

Working Conditions
Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
