Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the Global Human Resources Technology / Solution Architecture & Engineering in Colombia and Canada, ensuring goals and initiatives are executed in support of the team’s business strategies.
Ensures all activities comply with governing regulations and internal policies.
Accountabilities
- Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships and knowledge.
- Participate in the development and support of cost-effective and efficient applications or prototypes of low to medium complexity, including system design, development, unit testing, and participation in integrated tests.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, performance, and governance compliance.
- Provide production and user acceptance testing support for assigned applications, identify and resolve problems of low to medium complexity, and escalate as needed per procedures.
- Participate in implementation of new systems or enhancements, including conversion programs, shakedown testing, Change Control Release documentation, and parallel test cycles.
- Stay current on technological trends and maintain awareness of the Division’s business and technology strategies.
- Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Support operational controls to meet obligations related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk; foster a high-performance and inclusive work environment.
Dimensions / Role Description
The Developer focuses on designing, developing, and supporting business intelligence solutions within a Microsoft-centric environment.
Works in an Agile team with Data Engineers, BI Architects, Business Analysts, and QA professionals.
Responsibilities span the BI development lifecycle from data modeling to dashboard creation and performance optimization, primarily using Power BI and SSAS (Tabular and/or Multidimensional).
Required: strong foundation in data modeling, DAX, and SQL; experience in enterprise environments leveraging Active Directory and JIRA.
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions to support decision-making across Global HR Technology.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (Nice to have).
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft BI Stack (SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI).
(Must) - Designing, developing, and optimizing data models using SSAS with emphasis on performance tuning and scalability.
(Must) - Strong proficiency in DAX, Row-Level Security (RLS), Power Query (M), and SQL for robust BI solutions.
(Must) - Familiarity with Power BI Service (workspaces, dataflows, semantic models).
(Must) - Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
(Nice to have) - Familiarity with Active Directory for access control.
(Nice to have) - Experience using JIRA for task and project management.
(Nice to have) - English level B1 or higher (spoken and written) to support Canadian stakeholders.
(Must) - Strong analytical and communication skills.
(Nice to have) - Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
(Nice to have) - Understanding of CI/CD practices for BI deployments is a plus.
