Overview
Disruption handling focuses on managing any unplanned events (such as weather, strikes, or other causes that ground planes) to minimize impacts for both airlines and travelers.
Within Airport and Airlines Operations, the Disruption department provides comprehensive products and solutions, enabling airlines to efficiently manage daily disruptions and large‑scale disruptions affecting the entire network.
This empowers customers to self‑rebook and helps agents monitor the efficiency of the process.
Responsibilities
- Influence decisions related to your activities, anticipate dependencies and consequences in complex scenarios, contribute to cross‑functional projects, propose process improvements, and be accountable for your and your team's commitments.
- Work independently within a plan set by your manager, with some guidance on more complex situations.
- Analyze Specifications: define user requirements for developing new or upgrading existing software solutions.
- Design Systems and Code: design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies; propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation; develop software according to company standards; model, design, and implement databases.
- Test and Maintain the Software: conduct unit, package, and performance tests to ensure quality in line with company guidelines; participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine‑tuning as necessary to finalize the product; support customers by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Managers or Product Definition Analysts.
- Document Your Work: produce necessary software documentation and issue it to the requesting departments.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in full‑cycle Software Development.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Experience in C++, Python, Java, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, Oracle, Couchbase, SQL, Kafka, Robot Framework, Git, Bitbucket, Eclipse, VS Code.
- Ability to design and manage the delivery of features related to disruption products while maintaining high‑quality standards.

- Software versioning: Git, Bitbucket
- IDE: Eclipse, VS Code
- Testing framework: Robot Framework
- Database: Oracle, Couchbase, SQL
- Other: Kafka
