Overview
Senior Specialist Global IT Operations (LAC Region) — Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity to join our global team.
Team and Job Purpose
As the Regional Technology Lead, you will be the key link between global and country office IT teams, driving the delivery of secure and effective technology services across the region.
This role ensures IT compliance and enhances the overall IT capabilities of the organization.
You will serve as the primary Technology Business Partner for regional and country leaders, ensuring IT services empower staff and support the mission to create lasting change for children.

Work Pattern: Hybrid/Remote with flexible working options available
Contract Length: Permanent
Grade: P4
Location: LAC – Preferred Colombia, other existing SCI office location in the LAC Region may be considered
Time Zone: LAC Region Time Zones (UTC/GMT -3.5 hours or more)

Principal Accountabilities
- Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
- Provide leadership and direction to regional and country office IT staff.
- Serve as the primary technology business partner to regional and country leadership, helping them leverage technology to deliver high-quality programs.
- Develop regional IT strategies in collaboration with global service domain leaders.
- Lead the implementation of new IT projects and global priority projects within the region.
- Act as a technology and brand advocate, representing the organization at conferences and events.
- Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Ensure all IT services are delivered in a safe, secure, and effective manner across the region.
- Oversee regional and country infrastructure, including networks, security, and data protection, to ensure compliance with IT standards and the COOM (Country Office Operating Model).
- Enforce a service management framework based on ITIL industry standards, focusing on incident, problem, and change management.
- Support risk management and information security processes in collaboration with the Global Head of IT Security.
- Coordinate IT needs during emergency operations as required.
- Team & End-User Support
- Lead and provide effective oversight, support, and direction to regional and country office IT teams.
- Build the capacity of technology staff through coaching, mentoring, and training to continuously improve their performance.
- Provide comprehensive end-user support to global staff, ensuring the effective operation of devices, applications, and productivity tools.
- Foster collaboration and strong relationships between country offices and Global IT teams.
Experience and Skills
Essential
- Substantial experience in a regional IT supporting leadership role.
- Proficiency in providing end-user IT support and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, including Teams and SharePoint, and Active Directory environments.
- Experience in IT governance, developing, and implementing IT policies and procedures.
- Experience with IT Service Management methodologies and processes (e.g., ITIL).
- Outstanding business partnering and communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Education and Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
Desirable
- ITIL Certification and other relevant professional certifications.
