The Feature Engineering organization is looking for an individual with extensive experience in software development and a track record of building strong engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on and inform cross‑functional teams of new feature technical design and requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.
- Collaborate with engineering leaders and product stakeholders to design robust, scalable, high‑performance software architecture.
- Utilize expertise in Ruby on Rails, Go‑Lang, and Node.js to contribute to full‑stack development.
- Conduct regular code reviews and ensure high‑quality, secure, maintainable code.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide technical insights.
- Follow an iterative software development methodology and articulate development status to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Stay up‑to‑date with latest trends, tools, and technologies related to Ruby on Rails, Go‑Lang, Node.js, and other relevant areas.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring stability and reliability of the platform.
- Continually refine business acumen and establish domain/industry vertical expertise.
Requirements
- Advanced experience as a hands‑on Software Engineer, ideally 8+ years of industry experience.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in Ruby on Rails.
- Knowledge of Golang or willingness to learn.
- Proven experience designing and building infrastructure and architecture.
- Experience designing and developing systems that operate at scale.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Demonstrated capability to provide technical mentoring and guidance to other developers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of payment processing technologies is a bonus.
- Mindset that emphasizes measuring the impact of engineering decisions, ensuring security best practices, and maintaining system stability.
- Ability to hold oneself and others accountable to high standards.
- Track record of applying analytical and creative problem‑solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Capability to assess and recommend appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks that align with project requirements.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
