Overview
The position oversees annual account and risk reviews completed by fiduciary specialists independent of Relationship Management teams to ensure quality fiduciary administration, policy compliance, and regulatory adherence.
The Senior Manager contributes to risk management and supports Relationship Management teams in meeting client needs.
Responsibilities
- Complete Annual Account and Risk Reviews for assigned relationships/accounts of varying complexity.
- Conduct a conceptual review of founding and ancillary documents to understand the account structure and Designated Person’s objectives.
- Complete account review checklists in accordance with the Guide to Completion.
- Review account documentation and correspondence to ensure records are complete and evidence of conduct is present (minutes, statutory records, annual returns, etc.).
- Examine account activities to ensure actions align with documentation and company policies and procedures.
- Manage monthly completion quotas for self to ensure reviews are completed within established timeframes.
- Document Matters Requiring Attention (MRAs) after reviews and record them in the Offshore Trust system or relevant diaries.
- Confirm and review MRAs with the appropriate leadership (AD IFC) and share findings, trends, and best practices with Relationship Management teams.
- Identify emerging issues or trends, escalate unusual or suspicious activities, and develop recommendations with the team.
- Collaborate to implement best practices in account administration, documentation, and reporting.
Education / Experience / Other Information
- In-depth knowledge of fiduciary principles and administration of asset holding vehicles (foundations, companies, trusts) with multi-jurisdictional considerations.
- Understanding of local laws as they apply to wealth structures and financial services regulation.
- Knowledge of accounting; ability to retrieve data using computer terminals.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time to meet monthly targets.
- Professional Trust qualifications with accreditation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners; 7–10 years of progressive related experience in fiduciary industry.
- Proficiency in organizational, analytical, and numeracy skills; foreign language capabilities are desirable.
