Overview

As Senior Manager, Financial Controller – LATAM, you will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, enforcing regulatory compliance, and delivering strategic reporting that empowers leadership across LATAM.

Role Purpose

In your first year you will lead the LATAM finance team through a transformation that includes full integration with the global finance function, ensuring alignment in reporting, controls, and systems.

You will also stabilize and strengthen the regional team, implement SAP across all LATAM markets, and drive process optimization that enables scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop regional finance teams in Colombia, Mexico, and Chile – coaching, mentoring, and driving continuous professional growth.

  • Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations across LATAM, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and General Ledger.

  • Ensure proper account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and support accounting teams across subsidiaries in driving operational excellence and adopting best practices.

  • Guarantee timely and accurate month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closings, aligning with Group deadlines and ensuring full adherence to Group Accounting Policies and IFRS standards.

  • Deliver insightful financial analysis, including variance analysis, performance reviews, and recommendations to support strategic decision‑making by General Managers and Group leadership.

  • Lead external audits across LATAM entities and strengthen internal controls to ensure transparency, operational integrity, and compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.

  • Champion the digital finance transformation agenda, leading the rollout of SAP and promoting the adoption of AI‑driven automation tools to enhance reporting and operational efficiency.

  • Act as a strategic business partner to GMs in Mexico, Colombia, and Chile, collaborating cross‑functionally with Group Finance, senior leadership, auditors, and external partners.

  • Support senior leadership in strategic projects, including M&A assessments and the launch of new business initiatives across the LATAM region.

Qualifications & Attributes

Education: Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification.

Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.

Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, and controlling, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.

  • Proven track record overseeing multi‑country operations and leading finance teams across LATAM.

  • Strong technical expertise in IFRS, statutory reporting, and LATAM‑specific regulatory frameworks.

  • Industry experience in telecom, fintech, or technology environments is preferred.

  • Hands‑on background managing AR, AP, Fixed Assets, reconciliations, and month‑end close processes.

  • Must‑haves: Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA), advanced Excel capabilities, and strong data literacy.

  • Nice‑to‑haves: Familiarity with automation tools and AI‑enabled finance technologies.

  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities; passionate about growing and empowering high‑performance teams.

  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.

  • Effective communicator who can influence and align diverse stakeholders across countries and seniority levels.
