Purpose
The incumbent is responsible for managing end to end Data Quality and Quality Assurance which entails managing manual checks, automated queries, the Data Quality tool, report creations and ad-hoc requests.
This includes analyzing and executing on operational efficiencies, including but not limited to system enhancements, process change improvements, regulatory and compliance requirements and supporting prioritized initiatives across Global HR Operations.
You will contribute to the overall success of Global HR Operations by ensuring specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.
All activities must be conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities
Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.Assists with the development of strategies, recommendations, including business benefits and costs, implementation, training and change management strategiesCompletes business analysis and consults with business sponsors/stakeholders to explore, assess and recommend business solutions.Supports the team with:Analysis of workflow processes and proceduresRoot cause and gap analysis and the design of future state workflow processes and procedures and analyzes system flows.Determining business impact for changes in processes and proceduresDefining system application requirements for modifications to existing processes, or the creation of new applications and/or processesPreparing requirement documents for Development and lead walkthrough discussionsExecuting test cases and documenting any defectsDocuments and coordinates training and communicationBusiness stakeholder sessionsImplementation of operational effectiveness plans and solutionsUnderstands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and theGlobal Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information
Post-secondary degree in Human Resource, Business (Operations), Science, Engineering or HR Technology Competence in systematically solving problems using appropriate process improvement methodologies to analyze complex data/information from different cross-functional teams, both locally and globallyStrong knowledge of Human Resource policies, procedures, systems and operational processes Strong knowledge keying and fixing errors in Employee Central, understanding data mismatches and downstream impacts including Time &Attendance and SAP PayrollSound judgement to evaluate and analyze information, and effectively resolve issuesExcellent oral, written and presentation communication skillsOperational Excellence Certification – Six Sigma Black Belt and Design For Six SigmaLEAN and Six-Sigma concepts & principlesStrong scientific and analytical understanding of processes and quality systemsExcellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) would be an assetBilingual English and Spanish
