The Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst will lead requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and process documentation for a Vaccine Supply & Demand initiative.
This role bridges the gap between business needs and technical delivery by ensuring requirements are well-defined, aligned with client standards, and effectively translated into actionable deliverables across all workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
- Conduct structured interviews, workshops, and co-design sessions with stakeholders.
- Capture and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop user personas, service blueprints, and workflow maps to inform solution design and implementation.
Standards Alignment & Compliance
- Ensure requirements and business processes align with interoperability frameworks (e.g., HL7 FHIR, SNOMED CT, National Vaccine Catalogue).
- Support privacy and security compliance, ensuring PHIPA obligations are met.
Project Support
- Prepare deliverables such as Project Charters, Status Reports, and Change Management artifacts.
- Assist with AODA-compliant documentation, knowledge transfer guides, and training materials.
- Collaborate with technical teams to validate requirements against solution design and implementation feasibility.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate effective communication between ministry leads, public health units, and technical delivery partners.
Build trust and transparency through structured discovery, usability testing, and iterative validation.
7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst in large-scale IT and healthcare (specifically pharmaceutical) projects.
- Strong track record in public health, healthcare IT, or pharmaceutical supply chain initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of public health data governance, interoperability standards, and immunization registry requirements.
- Proven experience in leading stakeholder discovery sessions and translating complex workflows into actionable requirements.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, SAP PowerDesigner, Microsoft Project/Planner, and AODA-compliant documentation practices.
