About The Role
As a Senior Backend Developer, you'll design, build, and scale secure, high-performance backend services and APIs that power enterprise-grade digital products for global brands.
This is a 3-month initial contract.
Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful and event-driven APIs in
• Model data and design schemas across SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Build serverless functions and microservices; integrate with queues/streams
• Implement authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT) and security best practices
• Define infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation) and manage environments
• Containerize services with Docker and deploy via Kubernetes
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines; drive DevOps and automation
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize for reliability, performance, and cost
• Write clean, testable code; create documentation and architectural diagrams
• Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers; collaborate with product/UX/QA
• Other duties as assigned

About You
Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of relevant backend development experience
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, authentication, and data modeling
• Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevOps practices
• Strong database skills across SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Comfortable with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; fluent in English
• Nice to have: AWS cloud-native build/deploy experience; open-source/blog/community contributions
