POSITION PROFILE
We're hiring a Senior Backend Developer with the technical depth and leadership potential to grow into a key role within our engineering team.
This role is ideal for a backend expert ready to take more ownership — from backend architecture to cross-functional collaboration — with a clear path toward a future leadership position.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
- Design and implement scalable, secure backend APIs and services (RESTful or GraphQL)
- Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to align backend services with business goals
- Own backend feature delivery from architecture and implementation to deployment and monitoring
- Lead by example through code quality, testing standards, and participation in code reviews
- Participate in sprint planning, system design discussions, and backend strategy
- Propose architectural improvements and optimize system performance
- Contribute to team growth through mentorship and technical guidance
GROWTH TRAJECTORY
This position is designed to evolve into a technical leadership role (e.g., Lead Developer or Engineering Lead) based on performance.
The ideal candidate will eventually:
- Lead both frontend and backend engineers across multiple projects
- Serve as a technical point of contact for major initiatives
- Help drive architectural planning and team-level execution
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience
- Strong experience in .NET / C# (preferred) or Python (acceptable)
- Proficiency in building secure, performant APIs and modular backend services
- Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB)
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS acceptable)
- Strong grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and clean architecture patterns
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
- Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience leading code reviews or mentoring junior developers
- Familiarity with microservices, event-driven or serverless architecture
- Comfort with frontend integration workflows (e.g., REST API consumption, auth strategies)
- Exposure to DevOps best practices and infrastructure-as-code
