About The Opportunity
Ellucian is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and entrepreneurial person to contribute to the company’s growth strategy in Central America and Colombia.
The candidate will work with internal teams, partners, and allies to define the most effective commercial strategy, stimulating conversations with senior leadership at higher education institutions to generate digital transformation hypotheses applicable to the institution.
Where Impact Should Be Generated
- Champion digital transformation and innovation in higher education institutions, promoting Ellucian as a market leader.
- Improve relationships with the ecosystem of clients and partners to expand the market by gaining new clients (“logos”) in each country.
- Understand and define a market plan by leveraging Ellucian’s strengths and competitor weaknesses to grow over the next three years.
- Identify the best strategy for each region or country to achieve the growth objectives and execute on it.
- Apply Ellucian’s sales methodology to keep the company continuously informed about opportunities and achieve set objectives.
- Suggest innovative ideas that increase sales and enhance the client experience.
Responsibilities
- Create a pipeline of new opportunities.
- Identify new potential clients in new markets.
What We Expect You To Bring
- At least five (5) years of experience in technology sales or consultative sales.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in management or administration.
- Professional experience and knowledge of sales strategies and methodologies.
Discipline and execution in sales are essential.
- Empathy for connecting with people and understanding their challenges, enabling the construction of long‑term relationships.
- Curiosity and ability to seek relevant information from different sources to build a business case that enables informed conversations.
- Communication and presentation skills in Spanish and English to present business cases and support ideas.
