In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using Playwright to ensure the highest quality of web applications.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and implementing comprehensive end-to-end test automation strategies and frameworks using Playwright for web applicationsCreating, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to validate functionality, performance, and security requirementsCollaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to understand requirements and develop effective test plans and test casesIdentifying, documenting, and tracking defects through resolution using appropriate test management toolsPerforming regression testing to ensure new code changes don't adversely affect existing functionalityAnalyzing test results to identify areas for improvement in both the application and test automation frameworkParticipating in code reviews to ensure test code quality and adherence to best practicesMentoring junior team members on test automation methodologies and best practicesResearching and recommending new testing tools and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectivenessProviding regular status updates and detailed reports on testing activities and results to stakeholdersQualifications10+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automationExtensive hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end test automation across web applicationsProven experience working in Agile environments with a deep understanding of Agile testing methodologiesStrong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with test automation frameworksExperience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the development workflowProficiency in version control systems such as GitStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsExperience with test management tools and defect tracking systemsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionMarketing, Public Relations, and Writing/EditingAdditional notes: This description reflects the key responsibilities and qualifications for the role at Capgemini Engineering and does not include unrelated postings or non-job content.
