Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and collaborative PSA Product Engineer with 8 years of hands-on experience specializing in Salesforce and Certinia Professional Services Automation (PSA) applications.
This important role is important to our IT team, focusing on optimizing and enhancing our primary business systems to support organizational goals and guide business growth.
You are an AI automation enabler, can work within a SAFe Agile framework, and have relationships with teams.
Your contributions will directly affect team success and project outcomes, ensuring our systems support our evolving our needs.
Reporting to IT Technical Leader
Responsibilities
- System Analysis & Solution Design: Lead requirement refinement sessions with partners to understand complex needs, pain points, and desired outcomes related to Certinia PSA.
- Translate requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Design scalable solutions within Salesforce and Certinia PSA to meet requirements, using declarative and programmatic options.
- Lead workshops and working sessions, translating goals into applicable Agentforce strategies, future-state workflows, and data-driven automation roadmaps.
- Certinia PSA Administration & Support: Administer and configure Salesforce and the Certinia PSA application, including managing users, profiles, roles, permissions, custom objects, fields, page layouts, workflows, validation rules, and approval processes.
- Provide expert-level guidance, troubleshooting, and resolution for complex issues within Salesforce and Certinia PSA, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Stay current with Salesforce and Certinia PSA releases, new features, and best practices, and make recommendations for their adoption.
- Integration & Documentation: Design integration between Certinia PSA and other critical enterprise systems, including HR and IAM platforms.
- Create comprehensive integration documents detailing data mapping, transformation rules, API specifications, and error handling processes.
- Collaborate with development and integration teams to ensure seamless data flow and functionality across connected systems.
- Collaboration & Communication in SAFe Agile: Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, development teams, QA testers, and other partners to ensure agreement and delivery of features and enhancements.
- Advocate for a collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge and mentoring junior team members.
- Use written, verbal, and presentation skills to work with all audiences across the organization, ensuring clarity and understanding of complex system functionalities and project updates.
- Project & Partner Management: Manage a backlog of requests, enhancements, and projects related to Salesforce and Certinia PSA.
- Work with teams (e.g., Business Segment Ops, Shared Services, Finance, HR, IT) to understand needs, manage expectations, and ensure solutions align with broader organizational goals.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide training and support to end-users.
The Essentials - You Will Have
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator).
- Certinia PSA certifications (e.g., Certinia PSA Certified Administrator, Certinia PSA Implementation Consultant).
The Preferred - You Might Also Have
- 8 years of experience as a Product Engineer/ BSA or similar role, with a focus on Salesforce and Certinia (formerly FinancialForce) PSA applications.
- Hands-on experience administering and configuring Salesforce and Certinia PSA, including understanding of their data models, security models, and business process automation capabilities.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing Salesforce/ PSA solutions, with a focus on AI-powered automation.
- Experience working within a SAFe Agile or other Agile development methodologies.
- Proficiency in writing clear technical documentation, including requirements, functional specifications, and integration documents.
- Experience designing and documenting integrations between Salesforce/Certinia PSA and HR/IAM systems.
- Understanding of Professional Services operations and related processes (e.g., project management, resource management, time and expense tracking, billing, revenue recognition).
- Exposure to Salesforce Agentforce.
- Experience with other related Salesforce ecosystem applications or tools.
- Familiarity with data migration and data quality management best practices.
- Experience with reporting tools within Salesforce and Certinia PSA.
- SAFe Agilist (SA) or other SAFe certifications.
