Overview
Project Manager - Software Solutions Implementation at Sutherland – Bogota, D.C., Capital District, Colombia.
This role involves planning and controlling the activities required to deliver projects to final customers on time, on budget, and with the required quality.
You will lead risk mitigation efforts, manage project scope, and work with multicultural teams across the globe.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end management of a project or program of projects, including scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, and stakeholder management.
- Manage all project phases – Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitor and Control, and Closing.
- Define project tasks, prepare plans, monitor progress, and communicate status to stakeholders.
- Manage project scope and scope changes; motivate and provide feedback to the project team.
- Serve as single point of contact for assigned projects and represent the Business Unit in internal and external forums, ensuring effective communication.
- Act as a trusted adviser for clients; assist with roadmaps and long-range plans to maximize ROI.
- Proactively manage issues, provide visibility and resolution to stakeholders, and escalate as required.
- Report project status to internal and external stakeholders on agreed frequency.
- Manage project-related revenue and revenue forecasts; keep management systems updated.
- Measure quality and delivery efficiency; provide lessons learned and contribute to methodology improvements.
- Participate in the broader PM community to increase efficiency within the company.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of current, proven experience as a Project Manager leading teams in a matrix environment; experience with international clients is required.
- Experience managing projects in a consulting or software organization delivering solutions to external clients.
- Experience managing the full software SDLC (discovery, design, development) for custom solutions.
- Proven ability to manage complex, dynamic projects for external customers and multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience delivering IT and software projects; strong ability to build customer relationships and bridge business and technical issues.
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic, global, collaborative environment with strong business acumen.
- Revenue forecast management and budget management experience.
- PMP Certification is desirable.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in systems engineering or related fields.
- Proficient English communication skills.
