Qualifications:
- 5+ years
of technical project management experience in telecom (preferably with Nokia).
- Proven experience in EPC/5GC technologies (MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, PCRF, AMF, SMF, UPF).
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint, Jira).
- Hands-on experience with Packet Core network design, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical coordination skills.
- Experience working with multicultural/global teams across time zones.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Nokia's internal tools and processes (PMAT, AIM, Cronos, etc.).
- PMP or equivalent certification.
- Background in software integration or system deployment projects.
- Understanding of LTE/5G architecture and protocol stacks.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled
Technical Project Manager (TPM)
to support
Evolved Packet Core (EPC)
and
5G Core (5GC)
delivery projects.
This role involves coordinating project execution, ensuring timely delivery of technical milestones, managing risks, and interfacing with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Program/Project Management
- Create, baseline, and update Microsoft Project schedules (MPP) in collaboration with Nokia teams and customers.
- Maintain program swim-lane plans and documentation on SharePoint.
- Control project work, manage changes, and validate deliverables.
- Track milestones and report status weekly using Nokia templates.
- Ensure on-time delivery and customer acceptance of project phases.
Technical Coordination
- Coordinate all EPC/5GC technical activities and resources across teams.
- Facilitate solution reviews, scoping discussions, architecture reviews, and technical sign-offs.
- Support Maintenance Window planning, MOPs, and lab testing coordination.
Customer Engagement
- Lead technical discussions with customer stakeholders.
- Schedule and facilitate regular meetings, provide minutes within 1 business day.
- Manage UAT and AIM/Cronos gate deliverables.
- Support project handover and closure with formal customer acceptance.
Risk and Action Item Management
- Maintain Action Item Registers with status and ownership.
- Identify project risks and plan/implement mitigation actions.
- Follow up on open issues and burning technical items with urgency.
Reporting
- Weekly: Status Report, Action Item Register, Jira/CR updates.
- Monthly: Technical Status Report and milestone review.
- Ensure all documentation is uploaded to PMAT and reviewed.
