Job Description

As a
Project Administrator,
you'll provide essential administrative and accounting support to construction projects.

Acting as a liaison between accounting/contracts and project teams, you'll ensure timely payments, accurate reporting, and effective communication to keep projects moving forward with efficiency.

Job Overview

Employment type: Indefinite term type contract

Shift: Day Shift, Pacific Time Morning Hours - Monday to Friday

Work setup: Onsite, Bogotá (first 3 months in-office, then hybrid: 3 WFH, 2 office)

The Qualifications We Seek

  • Bachelor's degree
    in
    Civil Engineering, Accounting, or Construction-related field
  • 2 years
    of combined
    work experience focused on administrative tasks
  • Proficiency in
    Microsoft Office

Technical

  • Familiar with basic construction accounting principles and practices
  • Able to manage project accounting functions including pay applications, prelims, monthly lien releases, joint checks, approvals, and timely subcontractor payments
  • Able to understand internal controls in making payments for client
  • Able to understand cost reporting and tracking
  • Strong communication skills with experience in meeting and conversing with US-based clients
  • Keen attention to detail with strong organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet all deadlines

Your Daily Tasks

Scope

  • Support construction projects by providing administrative assistance and acting as a liaison between accounting/contracts and project/subcontractor teams
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of cross-functional project collaboration

Reporting Relationship

  • Reports directly to the Change Management Team Lead
  • Collaborates with Cost Engineers and the Administration Department

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform daily tasks in accordance with organizational policies and standards
  • Manage project accounting functions including pay applications, prelims, monthly lien releases, joint checks, approvals, and timely subcontractor payments
  • Assist the Administration Department with running, reviewing, and compiling various reports
  • Support projects with pay applications and other accounting functions
  • Communicate effectively with project teams and subcontractors to resolve issues
