Diageo's Shared Service Center plays a crucial role in supporting Diageo’s Latin American markets by delivering high-quality financial, operational, and analytical services.
By implementing efficient processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, our function ensures that markets benefit from streamlined operations and enhanced business insights.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is integral to the business operating rhythm, providing insightful data and analysis to drive the long-term sustainable performance of Diageo.

The FP&A Analyst ensures precise budget control of the “Advertising and Promotion” investment, providing timely and accurate reports to the budget owners.
Works as a business partner of the marketing team by fully understanding business performance, with data-driven advice and mid-term forecast accuracy.

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to support strategic aims and targets, ensuring alignment between marketing initiatives and financial objectives.
+ Analyze monthly financial performance, understanding key variances between rolling forecasts, actual figures, yearly plans, and previous years.
+ Engage in the financial cycle, including the annual operating plan, monthly projections, closing activities, and balance reviews.
+ Prepare and execute month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accrual calculations, and brand allocations.
+ Coordinate and consolidate the monthly forecast with all budget owners, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.
+ Maintain control over internal orders, ensuring adequate budgets are assigned and properly managed.
+ Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports to business partners, providing high-quality information to support decision-making and ensure proper budget control.
+ Keep process documentation up to date and accurate to reflect any changes in procedures or systems.
+ Contribute to local or global projects related to the A&P process, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and best practices.
**Key Performance Indicators**
+ Forecast Accuracy: Maintain control over monthly accuracy of financial forecasts against actual performance, aiming for 97% accuracy.
+ Reporting Timeliness and Quality: Ensure timely submission of financial reports and forecasts, meeting all deadlines set within the financial cycle while maintaining high data quality.
+ Variance Analysis: Collaborate with budget owners to understand variances between actual and forecasted figures, developing the capability to explain any discrepancies.
+ Control compliance: Regularly review and monitor compliance with established controls related to the A&P process to prevent failures and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements
+ Education: Degree educated and part qualified - studying for a professional financial qualification.
+ Experience: 2 or more years proved experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment.
+ Language: English Professional working proficiency
+ Language: Portuguese highly desirable
