The role
Payroll Analyst
SoftwareOne
Scope: Full-time | Office: Medellín | Hybrid
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Review payroll updates and manage processing carried out by the external provider, including complex items such as bonuses, commissions, and variable payments.
- Validate tax deductions, social security contributions, income tax withholdings, and employee benefits in accordance with current regulations.
- Review the internal payroll system to ensure accurate data entry and updates.
- Analyze and report key data related to labor costs, employee turnover, absenteeism, and compensation.
- Support other departments with accurate and relevant payroll information to enable strategic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in payroll processes through automation, standardization, and operational efficiency.
- Actively participate in the implementation or enhancement of payroll systems and analytical tools.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, tax, and corporate requirements related to payroll processes.
- Take part in internal and external audits, providing accurate data and required documentation.
- Coordinate with Finance and People & Culture (P&C) to align payroll processes with budgets and compensation and benefits policies.
- Manage payroll documentation, ensuring traceability, accuracy, and confidentiality of all payroll-related information.
What we need to see from you
Profile: Degree or technical qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or related fields with proven experience in payroll processing and analysis, preferably in collaboration with external providers and within high-level organizational structures.
Required skills:
- Experience using Human Resources systems, preferably Workday.
- Experience in end-user support through ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Knowledge of payroll management under the RFI model.
- Proven experience in corporate environments with over 1,000 employees.
- Up-to-date knowledge of labor and tax legislation.
- Intermediate to advanced English (preferred).
