Job Title: Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Developer – Integration/Middleware

Reports to: Integration Lead

Work Location/Travel: Remote within Colombia or on-site at client locations.

Occasional travel (up to 20%) may be required for client engagements.

Job Summary

We’re looking for a highly motivated Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Developer, with 5-7 years of experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on OIC implementation, to join our growing team in Colombia.

You’ll collaborate with global experts on cutting-edge projects, deliver tailored solutions for clients, and play a key role in establishing Apex IT’s footprint in LatAm. This role offers a unique blend of remote/hybrid work, professional development, and opportunities to innovate.

Duties/Responsibilities

· Design, build, and deploy Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) solutions to connect cloud and on-premise applications.

· Work with REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON to develop seamless integrations between Oracle Cloud and third-party systems.

· Take responsibility for integration tasks from requirement gathering to deployment , ensuring high-quality outcomes.

· Apply strong debugging and problem-solving skills to resolve integration failures and performance issues.

· Leverage Groovy scripting, Oracle Visual Builder, and BPEL to enhance automation and streamline workflows.

· Continuously update knowledge of Oracle technologies, best practices, and certifications to improve expertise.

· Work directly with clients to analyze integration requirements and provide tailored technical solutions .

· Contribute to internal initiatives and help expand Apex IT’s presence in Colombia .

· Work closely with developers, architects, and business analysts , fostering continuous learning and knowledge transfer.

· Perform other duties as assigned, supporting broader business and technology initiatives .

Competency

· Expertise in OIC Gen-3 with at least two successful implementations .

· Strong programming skills – ability to review and analyze complex code bases , troubleshoot issues, and apply a structured problem-solving approach.

· Web Services & API Integration – proficient in REST & SOAP APIs and various authentication schemes.

· Database Knowledge – hands-on experience with Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP), ORDS, and SQL databases .

· Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6) with proven experience in JavaScript-based projects .

· Experience with Oracle Fusion APIs – working knowledge of Oracle Fusion REST/SOAP APIs is highly desirable.

· Oracle SaaS Application Integration – familiarity with Oracle ERP, CPQ, Commerce Cloud, B2B Sales & Service Cloud, and Oracle Service Cloud is a plus.

· Visual Builder (VBCS) Development – experience in VBCS app development integrated with OIC is desirable.

· Adaptability to New Technologies – proactive in learning and adopting new platforms and technologies.

· Analytical & Critical Thinking – ability to understand, analyze, and solve both explicit and implicit requirements while addressing complex technical challenges.

· Proactive in identifying opportunities, driving innovation, and balancing business needs with integrity.

· Strong self-awareness, resilience, and conflict resolution skills , ensuring effective communication and relationship-building.

· Ability to integrate quickly into teams while working independently toward project goals .

· Adaptable to changing business needs and able to work collaboratively across global teams .

· Deep understanding of IT procedures, industry trends, and enterprise technology landscapes , with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related business tools .

· Fluent in English and Spanish , with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Supervisory Responsibilities

· Provide training and mentorship to technical staff to support their professional growth.

· Participate in the recruitment process, including conducting interviews to assess candidates’ qualification.

· Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and manage the workflow of project team members to ensure efficiency and quality.

· Conduct performance evaluations, delivering timely and constructive feedback to enhance team performance and development.

Work Environment

The role may be performed remotely or on-site at a client location, depending on project requirements.

For remote work, employees are expected to maintain a professional and distraction-free workspace, including appropriate virtual backgrounds if needed.

A reliable and high-speed internet connection is essential to ensure smooth communication and productivity.

Physical Requirements

· Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.

· Bending, sitting lifting, driving.

Required Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science - related field or commensurate experience required.

· At least 5 years of related experience required.

Preferred Education and Experience

· Experience with Oracle Fusion REST/SOAP API is a highly desirable.

· Experience with Oracle SaaS applications like Oracle ERP, Oracle CPQ, Oracle Commerce cloud, Oracle B2B Sales and Service cloud, Oracle Service Cloud is highly desirable
