In this opportunity, we are searching for a Lead Engineer – Oracle Fusion Cloud Application for our Medellin Office.

Overview

As a Cloud Architect for Public Cloud Infrastructure, you will be responsible for leading the creation of a technology framework and providing technical leadership in support of Kaseya’s initiatives in cloud computing and automation, with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms.

This includes responsibility for enterprise cloud infrastructure designs, roadmaps, and forward-looking strategy.

The Cloud Solutions Engineer reports into the Infrastructure and Operations organization and would provide architectural leadership and best practices across corporate public cloud solutions.

You will work closely with solution architects, business stakeholders, and developers to identify and architect cloud-based application and infrastructure supporting services for a variety of platforms across Kaseya.

You will be responsible for ensuring that critical infrastructure services and applications are designed and optimized for high availability and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the organization for Kaseya’s public cloud end-to-end architecture, including Azure, AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)’s core infrastructure, networking, provisioning models, and management tools
• Provide thought leadership and architectural insights on the deployment of cloud services such as Microsoft Entra, Intune Suite, Azure Virtual Desktops and Applications, and Entra Suite
• Provide leadership to back design decisions with research, articulating the pros/cons and recommendations
• Develop a library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns, based on the Kaseya application portfolio, as a basis for deploying services to the public cloud
• Maintain expertise on emerging technology and trends within the cloud services, applications, and infrastructure spaces
• Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications
• Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements
• Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners
• Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; work in conjunction with project sponsors to size and manage scope and risk
• Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations
• Provide thought leadership to fellow team members across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements
• Advocate and define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective, including internal and external platforms, tools, and systems
• Lead the definition and development of cloud reference architecture and management systems

Experience Required

• Experience creating well-architected cloud framework and solutions
• Experience with Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure design, deployment and services
• Design and implementation of Azure network and cloud services infrastructure
• Design and implementation of Azure cloud-based services to support business application services and integrations
• Design of security of cloud-based systems and services from damage, unauthorized use and exploitation
• Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and application service-oriented environments
• Evaluating and recommending strategic cloud services and automation for availability, durability, and cost optimization
• Experience with infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application and server workload transfers into the cloud (e.g. BitTitan, Dynatrace, DigitalOcean, Sharegate)
• Identifying the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company

Skills

• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
• Infrastructure as Code tools; Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Chef, Puppet, Saltstack, Ansible, Docker, etc.
  
  
• Expert knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure, services and deployment of infrastructure as code
• Expert knowledge, support, and operations of Azure Services such as Entra, Azure Suite and Azure Virtual Desktops
• Expert knowledge of DevOps concepts and best practices
• Expert Technical Services Operational Support, Troubleshooting, and Problem Resolution
• Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure technologies: Server, Storage, Networking, Security, Databases, Serverless: Compute; Application Integration; Data Store services
• Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes

Communications/Leadership

• Proven documentation skills, and understanding the value of process/procedures
• Strong communication skills with requirement to engage with developers, engineers, C-level, and clients

Education/Technology

• The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related subject; an advanced degree is preferred.
  
  In addition, 10 or more years’ experience in designing large and complex IT operations in large organizations.
  
  The position requires team-building skills and must be able to collaborate effectively with a group of high performing individuals.
  
  
• 10 + years of experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations
