  • Use ticketing systems to document all work: time, resolution steps, escalation, etc.

  • Assist higher‐tiers in implementing changes or patches following documented change management processes.

  • Maintain and update network and device documentation (network diagrams, firewall rule catalogs, inventory of Client, F5 configurations, etc.).

  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows, change requests, and possibly on‐call or shift rotations if required.

Technical Skills / Knowledge

  • Strong foundation in TCP/IP networking, OSI model, subnetting, VLANs.
  • Experience with routing protocols (at least static routing; familiarity with dynamic routing such as OSPF and/or BGP).

  • Knowledge of firewall principles; ability to read and understand Palo Alto firewall rules, possible Panorama, NAT, zones, etc.

  • Familiarity with load balancing; basic functions of F5 (e.g. pool monitoring, virtual IPs).

  • Experience with wireless networking: deployment/configuration of access points, troubleshooting signal/coverage/connectivity issues.

  • Competence with switches (layer 2 / layer 3 basic switching) and routers.

  • Comfortable working with diagnostics: ping, traceroute, log review, simple packet capture if needed.
