Team Overview

Being part of the Marketplace team is developing one of the main cornerstones of the business: marketplace balance.

As part of the broader City Operations organization, our Marketplace team is responsible for the engagement and retention of our users and allocating supply in an efficient and timely manner to support the experience within the app.

This position will be responsible for building deep insights about the ride-hailing business from multiple perspectives like pricing, marketplace and competition.

The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills, data driven mindset, prioritization capabilities, attention to detail and excellent execution.

The role will demonstrate leadership in multi-skill projects and initiatives.

Role Responsibilities

• Have ownership of strategies to improve the marketplace efficiency and retention.
  
  
• Create new initiatives to efficiently balance our marketplace.
  
  
• Develop constant data analysis to understand day-to-day behavior of our drivers and our competition.
  
  
• Optimize the efficiency KPIs through operation tools and programs based on the robust data analysis.
  
  
• Collaborate with several supporting areas like marketing, product, and user research to place the user’s experience at the core of the user experience.
  
  

Role Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of data analytics, business consulting, investment banking or operations management experience.
  
  
• Data science, engineering, economics or other analytically-focused academic background.
  
  All backgrounds are welcome if you see yourself suitable in a highly analytic environment.
  
  
• Experience with data-based decision-making, exercising good judgment in ambiguous circumstances, and effectively communicating across a diverse team.
  
  Previous professional experience in analytical or operational roles is preferred.
  
  
• Advanced knowledge in Excel
• Demonstrated experience using programming languages or tools for data extraction and analysis such as SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, etc.

• Proven to be self-motivated, self-directed and eager to take ownership of tasks.
  
  
• Proficiency in English & Spanish.
  
  
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.

  Self-motivation with a strong affinity for problem solving, driving action, and strong project ownership.
