Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Market Development Executive to lead commercial growth across Colombia, Central America, and the Caribbean oriented to Sustainability Solutions.
This role is responsible for driving sales performance, securing high-value contracts, and expanding SGS’s footprint in key economic sectors.
The ideal candidate will develop and execute regional commercial strategies, foster strong client relationships, and ensure the delivery of SGS’s value proposition.
Sales & Business Development
Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the regional commercial strategy.Identify and pursue new business opportunities across SGS’s portfolio.Deepen client engagement by offering integrated solutions across multiple SGS sectors.Prepare and follow up on tailored commercial proposals to ensure successful deal closure.Key Account Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic clients to maximize revenue.Serve as the primary liaison between key clients and internal teams.Lead account planning, forecasting, and performance reporting.Negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of client objectives.Contract Execution & Cross-Sector Coordination
Manage multi-sector service contracts, ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction.Coordinate with internal teams to support contract execution and communication.Monitor contract profitability and identify opportunities for business expansion.Oversee documentation, training, evaluations, and reporting related to contract delivery.Operational Excellence
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales pipeline updates.Ensure compliance with internal policies, KPIs, and visit targets.Support collection efforts and contribute to financial health of the business.Participate in client and industry events to promote SGS services.Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to SGS’s business sectors.Postgraduate specialization in Marketing, Business Development, or related areas is required.Experience
Minimum of 8 years in commercial leadership roles such as Key Account Manager, Business Development Manager, or Project Manager, combined with previous background in Sustainability and Environmental expertise.Proven experience in Colombia and Central American countries (Panama, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, etc).Strong track record in managing interdisciplinary teams and client relationships.Technical Skills
Proficiency in commercial tools and CRM platforms (, Oracle, Salesforce).Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.Languages
Advanced English proficiency is required, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
