Hiring: Lighting Estimator (Remote – Based in Bogotá, Colombia)

We are looking for a skilled Lighting Estimator to join our team.

This role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates for lighting projects, analyzing specifications, and collaborating with sales and project management teams to ensure competitive and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine lighting requirements.

Prepare precise material and labor cost estimates.

Use takeoff software to assess project scope and generate quantity takeoffs.

Source pricing from manufacturers and suppliers to ensure competitive quotes.

Collaborate with sales, project managers, and engineers on proposal development.

Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs.

Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and product innovations.

Ensure compliance with energy codes, industry regulations, and client specifications.

Assist in project budgeting and forecasting.

Support the sales team in customer presentations and proposals.

Qualifications:

Experience in lighting or electrical estimating.

Proficiency in takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, Accubid, PlanSwift, or similar).

Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals: voltage, dimming protocols, wattage, and circuit loads.

Familiarity with lighting products, fixtures, and control systems.

Lighting design experience is a plus but not required.

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines effectively.

Knowledge of energy codes and rebate programs is a plus.

Must have a high-performance computer and a stable internet connection.
