Description


The Learning and Development Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering
engaging training programs that enhance employee skills and drive business success.

This
role functions as a hybrid content creator and facilitator, expected to design and deliver
impactful learning experiences that meet evolving business needs.

Trainers must be
prepared to create and facilitate training sessions within 48–72 hours of receiving a request
from program management when business demands require it.

While this will not always
be the case, flexibility and readiness to respond quickly are essential to meet organizational
priorities.

This position requires adaptability, creativity, and strong time management skills
to balance content development and facilitation demands in a dynamic business
environment.

Key Responsibilities


Content Development & Delivery

  • Develop high-impact, learner-centered training programs that align with business objectives.

  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and job aids, as well as
    training decks that support both in-person and virtual facilitation.

  • Adapt quickly to meet urgent business needs, creating and facilitating training within
    tight turnaround times (48–72 hours) when required.

  • Ensure content is clear, visually appealing, and instructionally sound even when
    working with limited materials or short timelines

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Partner with instructional designers, program managers, and subject matter experts to co-create customized learning solutions.

  • Collaborate across functions to ensure training content and facilitation align with
    broader business goals.

  • Integrate innovative tools and digital learning technologies, including AI-driven
    solutions, to enhance engagement and retention.

Needs Assessment & Evaluation

  • Conduct needs analyses to identify performance gaps and opportunities for learning interventions.

  • Evaluate training effectiveness using participant feedback, performance metrics, and post-training outcomes.

  • Implement continuous improvements to enhance program impact and learner
    experience

Project & Time Management

  • Manage multiple training and content development projects simultaneously, maintaining accuracy and quality under tight deadlines.

  • Prioritize tasks effectively and communicate proactively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery.

  • Balance short-term requests with long-term project commitments to meet evolving
    business needs

Professional Development

  • Engage in continuous learning to strengthen facilitation, instructional design, and
    technology integration skills.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities, including courses and
    certifications suggested by leadership, to support skill growth.

  • Stay current with learning trends, tools, and best practices in adult learning and digital
    education.

  • Actively seek opportunities for growth and apply new knowledge to enhance training
    effectiveness.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Training Delivery Effectiveness: Measured by participant engagement, post-training evaluations, and observed impact on on-the-job performance and confidence.

  • Content Development Quality: Evaluated through clarity, instructional effectiveness,
    design consistency, and feedback from program management and stakeholders.

  • Project & Time Management: Assessed by the ability to meet deadlines, manage
    multiple requests effectively, and deliver high-quality outputs within 48–72-hour
    turnaround windows when needed.

  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional
  • Partnership: Demonstrated through strong
    communication, teamwork, and alignment with internal partners such as instructional
    design, program management, and field leadership.

  • Professional Development: Measured by active participation in learning
    opportunities, application of new skills, and contribution to the growth and innovation
    of the L&D team.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise


Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training, learning and development, or a related role.

  • Proven ability to design, develop, and deliver training content in both virtual and in person environments.

  • Experience balancing facilitation and content creation responsibilities in a fast-paced,
    high-demand environment
