About The Role
We are looking for a Lead QA Engineer to join our newly forming software application team and help deliver a quality product to our clients.
You will learn an existing application, familiarize with core functionality and existing test suite, take the lead on testing all changes to the application, and ensure a quality product gets delivered to business users and clients.
What You Will Do
- Drive the full cycle of product testing (functional, regression, integration, smoke, end-to-end, etc.)
- Develop manual test scenarios and test suites; maintain test documentation
- Validate new functionality and ensure flawless testing process
- Create and maintain test documentation including test cases & checklists
- Work with product owner to capture requirements correctly; collaborate with development team to analyze and resolve defects
- Take lead on reporting test results and possible risks to stakeholders
- Support full cycle of defect tracking & management
- Testing and support during infrastructure updates
- Support new system releases via regression and smoke testing
- Contribute to project documentation & knowledge base maintenance
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the development process
- Collaborate with development teams and QA automation team to identify and prioritize automation opportunities
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree with 10-12 years of related experience in Quality Assurance and Testing of software applications
- Proactive learning and quick adoption to software application
- Proficiency in test lifecycle management via thorough test planning, test case creation, execution, bug creation and resolution & close out
- Understanding of project management and testing methodology
- Experience validating and verifying quality of complex distributed systems in multiple environments using different backends and frontends
- Experience testing Web applications
- Experience in API testing with appropriate tooling
- Good knowledge of SQL
- Strong functional, integration, regression testing skills
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating technical activities and work assignments
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with high aptitude to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills; ability to effectively prioritize and multi‑task
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative team environment
Nice If You Have
- Selenium test automation with Java experience would be a plus
- Hands‑on experience working in cloud environment will be beneficial
