Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in architecture, urban planning, public management, or a related area (advanced university degrees with additional qualifying experience may be considered).
- Complementary studies in territorial development, metropolitan/regional affairs (highly valued).
- Good knowledge of MS Office and research/analysis software (desirable).
- Fluency in Spanish is required; knowledge of English or French is an asset.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in urban development.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in metropolitan and regional topics.
- Experience in formulating metropolitan plans, designing capacity building programs, labs, or campus in metropolitan affairs (desirable).
- Prior knowledge and experience with an international organization (desirable).

Job Description
- Deliver technical and methodological recommendations to strengthen governance and planning in the Bogota-Cundinamarca Metropolitan Region.
- Contribute to developing technical guidelines for scaling Bogotá’s circular solid waste management model at the metropolitan and regional levels.
- Provide recommendations linking the RMBC Regional Observatory with the technical workshop in collaboration with MIT’s LCAU.
- Contribute to the design of the Metropolitan Laboratory RMBC 2025 in alignment with the ongoing Regional Strategic Plan.
- Collaborate with the Policy, Legislation and Governance Section (PLGS) under UN-Habitat’s MetroHUB Global Programme.
- Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Chief of the Section.
