We're seeking an experienced Java Senior Software Engineer to join our Machine Learning Prod Platform Team in Barcelona, Madrid, Alicante or Milan, hybrid to drive the development of our ML platform.

Our mission is to develop and run the platform and infrastructure to operate our ML models.

We work in close collaboration with our Data Scientists team and help them to run the ML predictions in the production environment.

We also build and run all the tools that an online ML platform needs i.e. data tracking, feature store.

What you will do

As a Java Senior Software Engineer in the Technology Team you will be in charge of:

• You will work with innovative technologies including Java 17, BigData, Kafka, Cassandra, Postgres, BigQuery, BigTable, Redis, Neo4j, machine learning and Datamesh in a continuous delivery and cloud-based environment.
  
  Docker, Kubernetes and GCP are part of the stack.
  
  Everything is supported by a high-quality monitoring process with SonarQube and Datadog.
  
  
• We don’t look just for developers to do their code and move on to the next ticket—we want engineers that challenge the status quo, bring new ideas, influence decisions, and have a say in how we address our customers, build our product, and work together.

• You have meaningful experience as a senior engineer driving technical work for other engineers.
  
  You stay up-to-date on industry trends and know how to apply them.
  
  
• Provide technical guidance for complex initiatives.
  
  Deliver strategic technical improvements.
  
  Improve code structure and architecture, focusing on testability and maintainability, and identify opportunities for technical investments to help the team meet objectives.
  
  
• Successfully deliver projects with high complexity involving multiple stakeholders, including monitoring and mitigating timeline risks.
  
  
• Effectively give and receive feedback, including code reviews, architecture reviews, and mentoring other team members to upgrade their skills and grow to the next level.
  
  
• Communicate complex ideas to technical and business stakeholders and establish alignment within the broader organization.
  
  Be a team player and enjoy collaborating, sharing skills and knowledge with others.
  
  Good English level to work in a multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Applied AI Tools: comfortable using practical AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT or other AI-powered coding assistants.
  
  
• Experimentation Mindset: curiosity and eagerness to explore, experiment with, and integrate emerging AI-driven solutions into software development workflows.
  
  
• AI-Enhanced Problem Solving: leverage AI tools to debug code, streamline development processes and enhance productivity.
  
  
• Adaptability and Learning Agility: enthusiastic about continuously learning and quickly adapting to new AI features and capabilities.
  
  
• Collaboration with AI: interest in collaborating closely with AI tools as pair programmers to complement traditional software development practices.
