Teltonika de Colombia is looking for an IoT Solutions Engineer Specialist to join our Bogota, Colombian office.
In this position, you will belong to Teltonika Telematics Technical Support team.
Teltonika’s telematics business unit develops and produces GPS tracking devices for fleet management in logistics, agriculture, car sharing, construction, and more.
Using the latest technologies, Teltonika sets new standards for the telematics industry.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Work with Teltonika Telematics GNSS tracking devices that embed technologies such as Bluetooth, CANbus, RS232/RS485 and 1-Wire;
- Propose different ways to incorporate our devices for various use cases;
- Arrange technical tasks for custom development projects and coordinate solution releases to clients;
- Troubleshoot, provide assistance, and consult clients via a dedicated ticketing system or online meetings/chats as needed;
- Communicate with global corporations in car sharing, rental, fleet management, and other vehicle telematics sectors;
- Cooperate with R&D, quality assurance and project management teams to ensure project maintenance and timely delivery of solutions to clients;
- Opportunity to travel to visit clients and help implement Teltonika devices into their business use-cases;
- Guide colleagues and customers by preparing wiki documentation or training;
- Test and perform quality assurance of the solution in the Americas region.
WE BELIEVE THAT YOU:
- Background in Telecommunications, electronics, informatics, or engineering (education or experience; student acceptable);
- Understanding or basic knowledge of telecommunication technologies (2G, GPRS, 3G, 4G), CANbus, BLE (advantage);
- Passion for helping others, willingness to grow technologically;
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with others for assistance;
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken); proficiency in additional languages is an advantage;
- Analytical and creative problem-solving mindset;
- Knowledge or experience with ticketing platforms (Jira, GitLab, OpenProject, ServiceDesk) is advantageous;
- Experience in customer service is advantageous;
- Strong time management with balance of speed and quality;
- Good English and Spanish language skills (written and spoken).
