Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Internal Control Analyst at Monks Technology Services.
The role is located in Bogota, D.C. with the flexibility for some work from home.
As an Internal Control Analyst, you will work alongside the Internal Control Head to establish and maintain robust internal controls.
This includes evaluating and enhancing compliance frameworks, identifying risk and control deficiencies, and fostering a proactive risk management culture.
You will collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to support the implementation of control improvements and ensure compliance with S4 Group policies and global regulations (e.g. SOX).
Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Document control deficiencies and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Implement and track corrective actions to address control weaknesses.
- Monitor and report control performance, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation.
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, and other teams to ensure adherence to frameworks and policies.
- Maintain thorough documentation of controls, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
- Identify opportunities to refine processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in building the internal control structure within .Monks Technology Services.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in Finance Internal Controls, Internal Audit, Compliance, or Finance Risk Management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Proficiency with financial internal control frameworks
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or
NetSuite
(preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Excel.
- English proficiency (B2 or higher) for effective cross-functional communication.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
