The Instructional Designer is responsible for creating engaging, learner-centered training content that drives effective learning outcomes.

This role works closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and Learning and Development Trainers to analyze content, determine project scope and deadlines, and develop innovative instructional materials that meet the diverse needs of our learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Analysis & Development:
    Collaborate with SMEs and L&D Trainers to gather, review, and refine content, ensuring it is accurate and aligned with learner goals.

  • Provide detailed feedback and recommendations for additional content where necessary—going beyond a simple copy and paste approach—to enrich the learning experience.

  • Project Management:
    Determine the scope, deadlines, and resource requirements for each instructional design project.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Instructional Design & Strategy:
    Design and develop engaging training materials including e-learning modules, instructor-led training guides, and supporting documentation.

  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to create content that is interactive, scalable, and impactful.

  • Collaboration & Quality Assurance:
    Work with cross-functional teams to align training content with business objectives and learner needs.

  • Continuously evaluate and update instructional materials based on learner feedback and performance metrics.

  • Technology Integration:
    Utilize digital tools and learning management systems (LMS) to develop, deliver, and track training programs.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in instructional design to drive innovation in learning solutions.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Experience:
    3+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or a related field.
    Demonstrated success in managing end-to-end project timelines and deliverables.

  • Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Canva, and Rise 360, as well as common digital tools like PowerPoint.
    Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital collaboration tools.

  • Analytical & Creative Thinking:
    Strong ability to analyze content, identify gaps, and provide actionable recommendations to improve learning outcomes.
    Innovative mindset with a drive for continuous improvement in instructional design.
    Interpersonal Skills:
    Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with SMEs, L&D Trainers, and cross-functional teams.
    Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging, and learner-friendly materials.
