We are seeking an experienced IFS Product Engineer to join our IT team.
This role supports the administration, configuration, enhancement, and support of our global IFS ERP environment.
The position follows a SAFe Agile framework and requires deep techno-functional expertise with IFS Applications 7.5 (mandatory) and familiarity with IFS Cloud.
The role involves managing system configurations, building integrations, performing system administration tasks, participating in IFS installations and upgrades, and supporting global deployments.
Reporting to the IT Technical Leader.
Responsibilities
- IFS System Administration & Support: perform daily administration of the IFS ERP system (IFS 7.5) including user management, security configuration (permissions, roles), performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Manage IFS environments (Development, Test, Production) including patching, maintenance, cloning, and backups/recovery coordination.
- Manage application, web, print and database servers including SSL certificate renewals and optimization of server resources; manage Centura, IEE and B2E clients.
- Provide L2/L3 technical support for the IFS application, diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to performance, configuration, and integrations.
- Coordinate with IFS support and third-party vendors for issue resolution and monitor system health, logs, background/batch jobs, and IFS Connect transactions.
- Configure and customize IFS modules using standard IFS tools (e.g., Custom Objects, Custom Events, Custom Menus, Profiles, Roles).
- Develop advanced Aurena pages and Lobby design in IFS Cloud; analyze requirements and translate into technical specifications for configuration or minor development tasks.
- Maintain IFS reports and data extraction processes.
- Design, test, deploy, and maintain integrations between IFS and other ERP/HR/IAM systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, SailPoint) using MuleSoft; develop SOAP-based web services in Java with IFS Developer Studio and related technologies (IFS Connect, REST APIs).
- Troubleshoot integration errors, ensure data integrity and process continuity; monitor integration performance and data flows.
- Participate in planning IFS 7.5/Cloud installations, upgrades, and patch deployments across multiple environments; support global deployment projects including data migration and post-go-live support for international sites.
- Document configurations, integrations, and processes; promote IT best practices including change management, security policies, and coding standards.
- Collaborate within SAFe Agile ceremonies (PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) and work with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, QA, and other partners to deliver features and enhancements; mentor junior team members and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
- The Essentials: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; SAFe Agilist (SA) or other SAFe certifications.
- The Preferred: 10+ years of hands-on experience with IFS Applications 7.5 or 8 (development, administration, configuration, and support); experience with IFS Cloud; experience with IFS installation, upgrades, and patch management; experience supporting global deployments in a multi-site, international environment; SQL/PLSQL in Oracle context; experience with IFS modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Projects, HCM); experience with IFS reporting tools or BI tools connected to IFS; migration experience from IFS 7.5 to IFS Cloud; scripting languages (Shell, Python); familiarity with Azure/AWS; ITIL or ITSM familiarity; and project management experience.

Additional
Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy expects employees to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless there is a business obligation out of the office.
