Job Description
We are looking for an experienced IFS Product Engineer to join our IT team.
This role is important to the administration, configuration, enhancement, and support of our global IFS ERP environment.
You can work within a SAFe Agile framework, with deep techno-functional expertise in IFS Applications 7.5 (mandatory) and familiarity with IFS Cloud.
You will manage system configurations, build integrations, perform system administration tasks, participate in IFS installations and upgrades, and support global deployments.
Reporting to IT Technical Leader.
Responsibilities
- IFS System Administration & Support: Daily administration of the IFS ERP system (IFS 7.5), including user management, security configuration (permissions, roles), performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Manage IFS environments (Development, Test, Production): patching, maintenance, cloning, and backups/recovery coordination.
- Manage Application, Web, Print and Database Servers including SSL certificate renewals and fine tuning of server resources.
Include managing Centura, IEE and B2E Clients.
- Provide L2/L3 technical support for the IFS application, diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to system performance, configuration, and integrations.
- Communicate with IFS support and third-party vendors for issue resolution.
Monitor system health, logs, background and batch jobs, IFS connect transactions identifying and addressing potential problems.
- IFS Configuration & Development: Configure and customize IFS modules using standard IFS tools (e.g., Custom Objects, Custom Events, Custom Menus, Profiles, Roles).
- Advance Aurena pages and Lobby design and configuration in IFS Cloud.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications for configuration or minor development tasks.
- Maintain IFS reports and data extraction processes.
- Integration Management: Design, test, deploy, and maintain integration between IFS and other enterprise systems (SAP, Salesforce, SailPoint).
Use MuleSoft as an integration platform; develop SOAP-based web services in Java using IFS Developer Studio and other standard IFS integration technologies (IFS Connect, REST APIs).
- Troubleshoot integration errors, ensuring data integrity and process continuity.
Monitor integration performance and data flows.
- IFS Installation & Deployment: Participate in planning IFS 7.5/Cloud installations, upgrades, and patch deployments across multiple environments.
Support global deployment projects, including environment setup, data migration, and post-go-live support for international sites.
Manage IFS environments across different geographical locations, considering localization and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Create comprehensive technical documentation for system configurations, integrations, and processes.
Follow IT best practices, including change management, security policies, and coding standards.
Stay current with IFS releases, technologies, and industry trends.
- Collaboration & Communication in SAFe Agile: Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies (PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives).
Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, development teams, QA testers, and other partners to ensure delivery of features and enhancements.
Promote a collaborative team environment, share knowledge, and mentor junior team members.
Communicate clearly with all audiences across levels of the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SAFe Agilist (SA) or other SAFe certifications.
Preferred Experience
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in development, administration, configuration, and support of IFS Applications 7.5 or 8.
- Experience with IFS Cloud and participating in IFS installations, upgrades, and patch management.
- Experience supporting global IFS deployments in a multi-site, international environment.
- Proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL in an Oracle database context.
- Experience with specific IFS modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Projects, HCM) and IFS reporting tools or BI tools connected to IFS.
- Experience migrating from IFS 7.5 to IFS Cloud; scripting (Shell, Python); familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- ITIL certification or familiarity with IT Service Management; project management experience.
