The Business Development Head will drive business opportunities aligned with company strategy, set and achieve annual targets, manage relationships with ministerial-level officials, and build global contacts with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism departments.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Strategic Planning & Business Development
- Prepare and implement annual Business Development Plans.
- Achieve annual client acquisition targets.
- Develop new income streams, including Value-Added Services.
- Identify alliances/partners and expand the company's footprint.
- Oversee setup and rollout of new ventures and products.
2.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with Missions and Ministries.
- Act as SPOC/Key Account Manager for governments and missions.
- Present VFS Global to diplomatic missions and potential clients.
- Manage the sales process: lead generation → pitching → proposals → contracts.
- Promote company strengths to delegates and clients.
3.
Tender & Proposal Management
- Identify tender/bid opportunities and build business cases.
- Prepare bid and tender documentation with stakeholders.
- Submit proposals and reports to Ministries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
4.
Compliance, Brand & Market Intelligence
- Ensure compliance with company information security policies.
- Strengthen brand image through strategic initiatives.
- Protect innovations through patents/copyrights, liaising with attorneys.
- Conduct market intelligence to track trends, competitors, and opportunities.
5.
ESG & ABMS Responsibilities
- Promote responsible use of natural resources.
- Follow environment, health, and safety guidelines.
- Comply with Anti-Bribery Management Systems (ABMS):
- Uphold ethical standards and integrity.
- Identify and evaluate bribery risks as per ABMS manual.
Qualifications
Education
- Master's in Business Administration/Marketing (or global equivalent).
Experience
- Min 15 years of relevant experience.
- Strong background in business development, large bids, and tender responses.
